  • Lady Panthers win their 8th in a row

Wallkill’s girls basketball team entered the 14-day Christmas recess with a 7-0 record. But if the layoff had anyone worried about losing momentum, it didn’t show last Friday night.

  • Newburgh swimmers down Marlboro

Newburgh Coach Zach Williams let some of his swimmers do events they normally don’t do when the Goldbacks hosted Marlboro, Thursday, Jan. 3.

  • PB’s Przybocki hits a personal high

A few days earlier, Meredith Przybocki was at the Armory in New York City, and she crossed five-feet, six inches in the high jump for a personal record.

  • Goldbacks cruise past winless Pine Bush

They had beat Kingston by a point earlier in the week at home without going into overtime. When the Newburgh boys basketball team traveled to Pine Bush Friday, Dec. 21, they came out strong, leading 40-16 at the half.

  • Huskies build early lead and hang on to win

When Highland’s boys basketball team played Pine Bush Friday in Highland Falls during the Anderson/Craig tournament at O’Neill High School, Cory Garcia had just hit an inside shot with four minutes left in the first quarter, and the Huskies ran off with an early 10-0 lead.
