    Wallkill’s girls basketball team jumped out to an 11-2 lead Saturday in Binghamton against Maine-Endwell, but the Spartans quickly figured out the Panthers in the state Class A quarterfinal before going on to win 62-58.

    Pine Bush’s boys swimming team won the Section IX championships Saturday when they garnered 326 points.Pine Bush’s Padriac Thompson won the 100-breaststroke with a time of 1:01.95. Pine Bush’s Steve Lowe, second in the 200-freestyle, and Tyler Alexander, his teammate, was fifth in the event.
