  • Dukes drop 3 straight

    The Marlboro Dukes encountered some rough road this week, dropping three straight and falling to 4-6. Matt Winkler was the bright spot in last Monday’s loss to Wallkill, going three-for three, including one double in the loss.

  • Connoly tosses 2nd no-hitter

    The numbers have really been in the favor of Valley Central’s Cindy Connoly this season. Connoly threw her second no-hitter of the season when she beat Warwick 11-1 Wednesday, April 17. She struck out 10 against Warwick after tossing her first no-no against Middletown in the season opener.

  • Huskies withstand Millbrook rally to win 16-8

    Highland’s boys lacrosse team jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first quarter at home against Millbrook, Thursday, April 18, before the Blazers made it a game in the second quarter with a 6-2 run.

  • Lady Goldbacks explode to win 12-2

    After a tough year against their Class AA opponents in 2012, Newburgh’s softball team had no problem getting at Minisink, one of the those foes, Wednesday April 10.

  • Huskies down Dukes to go 3-0

    Highland’s baseball team hosted Marlboro Monday, April 8, and the Huskies downed the Dukes 9-3 behind Max Cruz’s three-hitter. Cruz also struck out seven as Highland started the season 3-0.

  • Lady Goldbacks drop opener to Wallkill

    Newburgh’s softball team had a tough time in 2012 against its sectional Class AA opponents. When Wallkill, a Class A finalist a year ago, came to town Wednesday, April 3, the season did not begin with much sunshine for the Lady Goldbacks.

  • Lady Huskies pound O’Neill, 18-2

    There was sun and there were clouds, and it hovered around 40. But Highland’s softball team found itself on the bases all the time away at O’Neill Tuesday, April 2, when they were issued 13 walks.
